🏆 The Weekly Leaderboard, how it actually works
A few of you have asked, so here's the real breakdown.
It's live. No daily reset, no "check back Monday," it's always showing your last 7 days, updated the second something changes.
What counts: coins you earn, answering, asking, posting, commenting, Communities, and getting Fire. Spending coins (giving Fire, boosting Spotlight) never lowers your score. It just doesn't raise it either.
The rank arrows (↑/↓) compare you to where you stood exactly 24 hours ago, not "since you last opened the app."
Privacy: if your account is private, your name still shows up on the board. The board isn't private info, your profile still is. Someone can see your rank, they still can't open your profile unless you'd normally let them.
Blocked accounts never show up on your board, and you never show up on theirs.
Rate limits exist. Sending or receiving Fire way too fast in a short window gets throttled to stop abuse. If your score seems to lag, check Account → Balance, every single coin event is logged there in order, so you can always see exactly what happened and when.
🔥 Fire is now a paid tip everywhere.
Giving Fire on an Answer, Post, Community post, or Flick now costs you 1 coin, and the person you fired gets that coin credited straight to their balance. Same as tipping already worked on Answers, just extended everywhere Fire shows up. Un-firing refunds you and reverses their credit, like before.
Fire was never "free reactions." Now it's consistent everywhere: a real coin changing hands, a real thing to earn, a real thing that moves the leaderboard.
