Do you like films that are based on true stories ?
Usually there are negligible amounts of true story in them. And usually the stories aren't really interesting.

do you watch any youtube channels or follow any youtubers on social media? if not, is there a social media influencer whose content you enjoy?
Not really, I don't watch any youtube channels regularly. What are youtubers on social media? Who are those influencers and what do they influence?
Mankind? Or manmean? Let's discuss 🤔
Sure, no problem. But since I must have slept through that anthropology lecture, I'd like to ask you to remind me some basic definitions to establish a sound foundation. What is mankind, manmean, kind and mean? What kind of "kind" are we looking at in mankind, and what's the mean meanness of a mean manmean mean man specimen? Then we can have a discussion.
@mc713 ·
Do you enjoy all you can eat buffets? What kind?
I really need to change my browser font because I seriously saw bullets there for a moment, and we don't eat bullets here usually. It would make answering the question a lot easier: I could say I enjoy all, but especially the .223 Remington. But we're talking food, and this complicates things, believe me or not. I don't think I can pick specific kind so I'd say: "Whatever is new to me."
Do you prefer Jurassic Park films vs Jurassic World films ?
Jurrasic Park, by the power of childhood memory. Jurrasic World feels like it was trying to hard. The only thing that I currently expect from the franchise is that they keep inventing new, "scarier" mutants, which is hardly an improvement.
Tomorrow everyone forgets one thing about you. What would you want them to forget?
Does my earthly existence count as one thing?

Do you consider yourself sensitive to anything? Or more aware in certain circumstances or around certain people? In what areas are you more perceptive?
I'm sensitive to nuance and changes in patterns, like any human being. Nothing special. I don't think circumstances change it dramatically, but certain people do, I notice the dangerous ones. I see small changes and deviations from what would follow causally in my perception. I also have a habit of processing what's usually treated as background noise on top of what I'm doing or observing. Lord of Darkness forbid the sound of washing machine suddenly changes is pitch. Then I know that SOMETHING CHANGED and I want to find out why.
@sigrid ·
Would you meet anyone from here?
If you mean people present here on ventto, then yes. There might be a few people I think I could genuinely enjoy, and a few whom I could meet out of pure, anthropological curiosity. I don't think it would be entirely appropriate to toss names, except for the question's sender if applicable.

When you feel like the vibe is just a bit too nice, what’s your first strategic move to completely ruin the mood?
Depends on the environment. I'd say I'd go nerd and made sure everybody got informed why one tiling window manager is superior to the rest. This usually is a reliable, relatively low-harm tactic. Never — and I mean never — deploy it among actual Linux nerds, though. That's how lifelong enemies are created and wars are started.
You can secretly hear one sentence people say about you after you leave the room. Which room would you choose?
I was going to say courtroom and call it obvious but then I remembered that it's mandated by law that the sentence is said before I leave the room.
what concerts have you attended, if any? if you have, which concert was your favorite?
I've been to quite a few actually, mostly metal ones, ranging from a barely known Polish death metal band playing in what was basically a basement to Rammstein's stadium performances. My favourite concert, though, was a couple bands from Canada Québec, namely Miserere Luminis and Givre, playing in a little club in the AGH campus in Kraków.

On a scale from 0-10, 10 being the maximum amount, how curious of a person are you?
If we account for my habit of poking at explanations until they stop working and then following the consequences, then probably 8. If we don't, it's more like 6.
@gemiox ·
Have you ever felt dismissed or not believed by a medical professional ?
No. But I practice "avoid unless you're really dying" approach regarding medical professionals.

Do you have a song that scarring you? I have, soundtrack to "X Files". If I hear that somewhere shady I'm going the hell out of there😅
I really hope we're talking about songs that are scaring us. In which case, the X Files theme is a great example, I agree. In The Dark by Repulsive routinely makes me feel uneasy. Or perhaps Suspiria by Goblin? youtu.be/A6QbA1A-jto When it comes to scarring though, it's not only about fear; and honestly, mentioning the ones that were able to scar me 100% violates the TOS.
You get one button that permanently removes one social expectation from the world. What are you deleting?
Oh, there are so many. That you need a good reason not to want something. No, I don't have to want it. No, I don't have to explain why. And no, disappointment is not a counterargument. Or that silence is awkward and must be filled. No, it isn't. Sometimes two people can sit together without producing a continuous stream of evidence that their brains are still running. Also, if I wanted noise, I could leave the washing machine running.

I know this can be a touchy subject, but I gotta know: do you have arachnophobia or are you cool with spider marriages?
Depends on whether they're same-species spider marriages. Overall, though, spiders can weave webs with whoever they want but they shouldn't adopt eggs.
Do you think rainy days can be beautiful too? Or is that only reserved for when the sun is shining? Share a picture of a perfectly lovely, rainy, grey day if you have one.

What do you think about bullfighting?
I hardly think about bullfighting at all. However, since you asked: I'm not a fan of animal cruelty in general, and especially when it's advertised as entertainment. I think I could adjust my stance the moment it was made fair. For example giving weapons to the bull. Or taking them away from the matador. Should do the trick. And I don't think I could be entirely convinced by the argument that bullfighting is a cultural tradition. So is arranged marriage, and so was bloodletting. Humanity has been doing stupid things for thousands of years. Longevity isn't a quality certificate. I still can appreciate the skill involved, of course. But I can also appreciate the engineering behind a guillotine without thinking we should bring it back as a form of public entertainment. Being good at something doesn't automatically make it worth doing.
@mc713 ·
When you speak to someone you know is lying, do you let the cat out of the bag and confront them or do you see how tangled they become and never say a word? 🙈😂😂
That's a question of efficiency vs entertainment, and the answer is: depends on how funny is the bullshit they come up with and whether I have time for it. Confrontation is efficient: inform them you are aware of the discrepancy between their narrative and reality, perhaps present evidence and carry on with civilisation. On the other hand, if I had time, no need for resolving the issue immediately and the narrative would become entertainingly messed up - why wouldn't I just observe?

Appreciation for Tim Curry: post a clip of one of his movies, a gift, a quote, or an interview. Mine would be "Sweet Transvestite" from one of my very favourite movies "The Rocky Horror Picture Show".
Probably not the best of his roles, but didn't he play Dr. Petrov in The Hunt for the Red October?

Hypothetically, if I wanted to summon you into my living room right now, what dark rituals must be performed?
Well, one thing is certain: it's not going to be "right now".
First, install Gentoo. I mean, any Linux distribution will suffice but Gentoo is proof of exceptional dedication. The deeply initiated install LFS. Anyways, then open a terminal and sacrifice three hours configuring something that should have worked out of the box. Make sure your profile has occult and offensive USE flags enabled, otherwise I might segfault right after appearing in your living room.
Draw a pentagram on the floor. It doesn't need to be perfect, but make sure the angles are correct. I might have undead respect for you, but I'm not coming over just to troubleshoot your geometry. After all, you're summoning a nerd, not some Old Nick.
Place a mechanical keyboard in the centre, light thirteen candles and repeatedly type sudo summon @humorystatyk until something happens.
If nothing happens despite your efforts, check your internet connection. The forces of darkness and other nerds are notoriously unreliable when it comes to NAT traversal. Also, make sure your pentagram is listening on IPv4 address and that port 666 is exposed in your (hell)firewall. And if your pentagram is running under systemd, expect it to fail with a cryptic dependency loop.

Have you ever been to a psychic? What was your experience?
I don't think so. My disbelief sort of defeats the point. I've been to a tarot reader once, though, and the reading was basically: "If you find a better job, you're going to have more money." No shit.
@mc713 ·
Have you ever tried apple butter or peach butter? Would you?
I haven't tried them. In fact, I've never heard of them until now and it made me curious. I'd try them.
What is your darkest obsession?
I'm not dark, more like grey and bleak. And it appears my obsession, if exists, is actually bright.
@mc713 ·
What is your favorite dish at your favorite restaurant?
I rarely eat the same thing twice. Usually, if I enjoy a dish at a restaurant, I either recreate it or make up something inspired by it, and I tried something new the next time. I think dishes I'd return for would include seafood – I'm not at an acceptable level in cooking it yet. Overall, though, home restaurant is the best restaurant.
